How to be brave enough to make a pivot?
Are you a founder and thinking about the pivot? Read my thoughts about it.
I spent a year building and improving a product and couldn’t make a business from it. What should I do with it? Continue trying, building, improving? Close it? Sell it?
I asked myself a lot of questions like these. When I asked them, I understood what I should do. Making a decision and closing everything I built over a year was hard. But… I understood that I was not destroying it if I closed the project. I received a lot of experience, created a huge codebase (which can be reused), and got a lot of connections.
So the main question for me was - what to do next? And actually, that was an easy question. During the year, I had many ideas for great new products. And I wrote everything. I have all that ideas, thoughts, and minds in my Notion. So I had to choose what I wanted to create next from the list of great ideas. And I chose.
We are building a great new product with the team right now, and I am going to launch an MVP next month.
Wait… what? Next month?
Yep! Exactly! I decided to launch an MVP as fast as we could. So we can test the idea and understand if the market needs it.
